Welcome to Dripbook

Designers need to have the best website. If not, what designers are they?
But, if you re a designer you already know the true. You re always talking, designing and refining your perfect website, but at the end, you have no website at all. Waiting for the perfect website you don't update the existing one.
This is what's happening to the website of mine too. Since the end of 2001 we haven't updated it. It's so old now, that we love it as an old friend. But, we need also a continues web presence if we want to promote our work seriously.
So, until we finaly finish our ...perfect website we have using some alternatives. Flickr is the one. It works well, connects us to the world and help us to find new customers. And recently we also rdiscovered Dripbook.

Dripbook is more stylish and more design oriented than Flickr. The two guys who created it are creatives too. So, as they mention to their "About Us" page, the wanted "a clean, professional design and user interface highlights the display of art without a bunch of distracting clutter".

Dripbook is a good implementation of AJAX, Flash and many other cutting edge technologies. In Dripbook you can find some great creatives from all over the world. We, as Tsevis Visual Design, are among them.
Find us here

As Dripbook is still in Beta you can create your portfolio by invitation only. But if you re a good designer, photographer, illustrator, painter, fashion designer or any other creative persona, don't think twice. Ask for an invitation. Dripbook guys are kind enough to send you one.

PF Champion: The most powerful script ever made.

Hi all!
I am back after a long very busy period. I had some great times at work so I couldn't find the time for any post here.
As Xmas is coming and hopefully I could find some spare time, I am coming back to blogging.
Let's start with a project of one of my best friends. Panos Vasileiou, founder of Parachute Type & Image Corporation has recently released a new font under the name PF Champion. But, hold the press, this is not just another script font. It's the most powerful script ever made. Why? Take a look to the video (even if it's so low resolution):

Some info from the original Parachute Fonts website:
PF CHAMPION SCRIPT PRO

Designer: Panos Vassilíou
PF Champion Script Pro is the most advanced and powerful script ever made. This typeface was first presented in June 2007 at the 3rd International Conference on Typography and Visual Communication (ICTVC) and was met with rave reviews. It is based on the manuscripts of one of the great writing masters of the 18th century Joseph Champion. There are many reasons that make PF Champion Script Pro so unique. Each one of the 2 weights is loaded with the amazing number of 4265 glyphs(!), offering simultaneous support for all European languages based on the Latin, Greek and Cyrillic scripts. Furthermore, a wide selection of alternate forms and ligatures is included for all languages, in order to accommodate diverse design aesthetics. These alternates are either applied automatically through an advanced programming scheme, or manually through several opentype features. An attempt was made to design a contemporary script typeface with classic roots, by following certain guidelines, i.e. lowercase characters were completely redesigned so they are less inclined, have a higher x-height and are less condensed than the original. Some characters were stripped-off their connecting lines in order to enhance legibility. A plethora of ornaments and frames (117) was included. All characters were carefully designed with the proper weight in order to sustain harsh printing conditions. Finally it was carefully and painstakingly programmed to preserve handwriting qualities.
